i dreamed once
that i was drowning in a
sea at night.
i was trying to stay afloat
only i realized
that i couldn't swim.
i saw a light far far away
and as i tried desperately
to float, the light came nearer
eventually i realized the light
was a boat and
i tried to scream for help
hoping to get their attention
only i had lost my voice
it was then when i began to weep
my tears mixed together
with the salty sea
and still i couldn't call for help
i wept and tried to float--
all at the same time.
then the boat passed
without seeing me.
it was then i decided to give up--
until i realized that i was dreaming
and woke up
